Swimming pigs and heading back to the states

The last few weeks were busy. I was going to post a blog a few times but the wifi in some of the places we visited was just horrible.
We fished one last week in San Sal and did not have much luck. So after celebrating the fourth at Riding Rock, We headed for the Exumas. The Exumas are an island chain that stretch down the middle of the Bahamas. They boast some incredibly clear water and scenery unmatched.
Our first stop was at Staniel Cay. Many scenes from the James Bond movie Thunderball were shot around the area. There is a small island in the harbor that is completely hollow inside and you can swim thru it. The water there is as clear as you will find anywhere. Tyler had to jump thru the hole in the roof of the dome. It scared the crap out of me and Yes Kim ( Tylers Mom) I told him not to do it. You can see it in the short video we did.
Here is a video we did of some of our adventures Please take time to click on this you tube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H874gNuR4P4
After snorkeling Thunderball We took the small boat we rented and went to the cove at Big Majors.  As you saw in the video, There are pigs that will swim right out to your boat to be fed. It is the strangest thing to see pigs swimming at the beach. We had fun doing it. But the pigs were a bit picky. They would not eat the bell peppers and oranges we brought. But they loved the granola bars.
After a night at Staniel, we putted north a few miles to Compass Cay. The water once again is amazingly clear. The Marina has a no fishing policy, and the results are an aquarium of fish under your boat. They also have pet Nurse sharks that will come up at high tide and lay themselves on the dock to be petted and hand fed.
The next day we went to Atlantis and did the obligatory walk around the resort. But Tyler and I had our minds on something else. We were dreaming of being back in the states. In fact the next morning, we did head back to the States. We would normally have headed for Miami, But we needed some warranty work done on the boat so we shot up to West Palm Beach to the Viking Service Center. The really stepped up and slid us into the schedule. I cant thank them enough for getting me in and taking care of me. One misses very weird things when you are out of the states for as long as we were. Upon tieing up and clearing customs and immigration, Tyler and I walked up to the bar at Sailfish Marina and each ordered a large glass of Whole USDA American Milk. Out trip to Publix grocery was like going to Disney world.
We are waiting right now for our 24 foot Tender to be delivered to us. When it arrives, We will leave here and tow it to Miami tonight, then to Key West tomorrow.
We are fishing the Drambuie Tournament there in Key West this coming week. Wish us luck.
