Key West Marlin tournament

Im up a bit earlier that normal this morning, The excitement of tournaments always does it to me. Im not sure if it is the excitement or the pressure that gets me so uptight. But I do love it.
The air this morning is thick and humid. The rains of the last few days look to be holding off this morning. Scattered around the key West bight ( Harbor) boats are coming to life. Spreader lights are flickering on and crews are readying their boats for the days fishing. ( and yes the typical Key West roosters are sounding off, signaling the coming day). There is always a buzz in the air on a tournament morning. Almost electrical! Well except for the guest of one of the yachts that just stumbled by, headed down the dock drunkenly searching for his boat. I sure hope he has the right dock.

The Key West Drambuie Marlin tournament starts today. It is a three day Tournament. The Captains meeting was last night, the fishing days are today Friday and Saturday.  When the boss flew in yesterday, he brought with him My old friend captain Chris from the Victory. It will be nice to have him on deck again.  It was like old times as I watched Chris rig baits along side Tyler. Both of them meticulously working to make their baits look perfect.
Good luck to the competing teams today here in the tournament.
Here are a few pics from the Captains meeting last night
