Beautiful reef a short step from the pink sand beach |
The detailing has taken most of our time. In fact we spent a better part of yesterday cleaning every nook and cranny on the outside of the boat. All work and no play Sucks... So Tyler and I spent one day snorkeling. The reefs that you can snorkel from near the beach are outstanding. the water is perfectly clear and the coral formations are spectacular.
One of our favorite past times is creating short video clips from the videos we have taken on our Go Pro cameras. We created this short clip using a format on iMovie. it was fun to make. Hope you enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTt1uG5ROVI Its a clip of when the girls caught their first Blue Marlin. Its only one minute long. Take the time to watch it.
There is a Club Med here on the island. On a couple nights we have gone there for dinner. They are offering a rate of 60$ for 2 guests to have dinner and all you can drink. Thats a tough deal to beat here in the islands. The food is good and its a nice way to get away from the boat.
Today, I think we are going to take the boat right out in front of the marina and tie off to one of the mooring balls on the reef. We need to clean the bottom of the boat and the waterline as well as make some water. This is one of the chores, I don't mind doing at all. The mooring balls are in 50 feet of water right at the edge of the wall that drops off to 800 feet. You can lay at the surface and see over 100 feet straight down. It quite amazing.
Hope the boss comes back soon. There have been a good number of Dorado and a few nice Tuna starting to show up. The Marlin are still biting as well.
In this pic you can see the clarity of the water and the drop to thousands of feet of water just outside the marina |
