The uncalm before the storm

It is a very cool scene around the Key west Bight. The harbor is steadily transforming from a bustling tourist port to a giant mass of what looks like boats caught up in a spider web. Each crew seems as eager to help the boats around them tie up as good as they have tied their own boat. Sailboaters are even working to help sportfish guys and visa versa. Fortunately we have no Sail boats on our dock. LOL
As you stand on the dock in the rain that has been steady all day, You can look around and see groups of boat crews standing arms crossed staring at how well they have tied their boats and debating as to if they should add one more line or maybe move one line to a different piling. Regardless of how many lines you have out, there will always be one guy that thinks you have done it wrong.
We still have a good 30 hours before we will feel any effects of Issac. The winds have only been between 15 and 30 knots all day.  We want all of our lines tight tonight though. The reason for this, is that we want the lines to have pressure on them all night. This will allow them time to stretch. In the morning we will be able to tighten them all and then they should not stretch much more. Once the winds pick up, it will be nearly impossible to adjust much. We are still only looking at Max winds of Cat 1 storm winds. Ya still sit and think if there is something more that you can do.
Looks like Kyle and Marco and Patrick and I are going to walk into town and do the Duval  crawl. Maybe we will  see if we can find Stephany Abrams. I just hope that she does not have another restraining order placed on me!
