I can now say my live is completed............. With the coming of Tropical Storm Issac, Every news team around south Florida has descended upon Key West. I have to say that the spanish stations out of Miami seem to have the most excitement in their voices. They also seem to have the hottest weather babes. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Weather Channels Stephanie Abrams is in town.!!!!! All day yesterday I tried to find her. They kept moving locations. I was begining to wonder if she had reissued that court ordered restraining order. Just Kidding.
But this morning at 5:45 am I found her and Al Roker behind the Westin Resort on Malory Square. They were running the show from there and had little time between breaks, But when I asked for a picture, They gladly hammed it up. I even got a hug from the on scene weather goddess herself. She smelled good even in 30 knot winds. I did not sniff Al.
Other than that, The weather here is as what we expected. Rain bands from Issac are beginning to effect us now. Winds are 25-35 kts as bands pass us. and 25 between. The rain has not been bad today. It is more of a nuisance than anything. There are reports from sand Key of wind gusts up to 50 kts. and Miami harbor had a gust to 60 kts. But I am still not worried much. We are tied down and prepared. The worst of the weather should begin to effect us between 1 pm and 9 tonight. Should be entertaining. Oh by the way, any of you reading this in the Tampa bay area, Bay news 9 is here in town and will be doing some shots from our docks later.
