Swell

The swell from the last cold front is beginning to fade. The ocean swell on the east side of the island was as much as 12 feet. The swell then wrapped around the island and caused a surge in the marina for the last day and a half. Kyle did get some great surf out of it. But I am glad to see it subsiding. One of the boats here in the marina broke two cleats. The Blue Heaven is fine.
Boss comes in tomorrow. Today is cleaning day. We are doing final wash and wipe down on the boat. Its not bad but we just always go thru the boat on the day before the boss gets here. He should arrive around 2 tomorrow. When he does, I think we will run up to the hump and do some wahoo fishing. Then Saturday we will put in a full day of fishing before we head south. The weather forecast for the next 6 days is spectacular. On Sunday we will head south. Our present plan is to run and gun to a few islands with our destination being the Turks and Caicos. I would like to spend Sunday night anchored out behind one of the deserted islands south of here. Fishing can be great there this time of year. There has been no fishing pressure for months. Then Monday we may anchor out in Abrahams Harbor at Mayaguana ( the last island of the Bahamas. Then on Tuesday we will fish our way to the Turks and Caicos.
I have some very sad news to share with all of you. I used the last of the half and half in my coffee this morning. AND last night we found that the little milk we had left went sour on us. It is a somber day aboard the Blue Heaven
