Another start to a great season

Looking forward to another season of great Blue Marlin fishing

Anther season has crept up on us fast. All of the camouflage clothes and hunting gear has been stashed away. Its time again to switch gears. No more cool mornings sitting in a tree stand waiting for a deer to walk by. The Bows and rifles are cleaned and the marlin tackle has been respooled and hooks sharpened. Its Marlin Season again!

The boats are beginning to show up here in Casa De Campo Dominican Republic. Presently there are 7 american Sport boats here. The fish have already begun to show up with boats catching 3 to 5 marlin a day and seeing up to nine. As I am sitting here writing this, The Delta Dawn just backed into the slip with 3 blue marlin, a white marlin and a sailfish to complete a slam.
It looks like it is going to be a good season.

Dan and I look forward to sharing our adventures this season with all of you. Sit back and enjoy the pics and the stories.

Capt. Ed - I really enjoy your blog and the amazing pictures and the awesome fishing adventures- you are one lucky dude :)

I have a question that I am hoping you can help me with. I am trying to learn what kinds of bait work best on the pelagics off of the DR - marlin for sure, but also mahi and sails.

Also - what kind of rigs or lures do you guys use? What seems to work best?

Thanks for any and all info you can share!!

Kindest, Lupita
