Orchids

Since  my last post, I have been sick. Last Saturday I felt a tad weak and by Sunday I was coughing. Monday found me with chills bad fever cough and everything else that goes along with the FUNK. So this morning, I went to the Medical center here at Ocean Reef. I arrived at 8am as they opened. I was asked to sit in the waiting area as I did not have an appointment. WELL....... Apparently, today was colonoscopy day at the center. Nurse after nurse came out and asked me if I was ready for my colonoscopy.  I finally dodged that plastic tube and saw the regular doctor. He prescribed a Z Pak and some meds. I still feel like crap but the fever is not as bad tonight.
The last 24 hours on board has been pretty rough. On top of having a fever, The A/C was out in the salon and the Master stateroom. I was either sweating with fever or sweating as I worked inside the boat. Today we installed a new A/C unit in the Master and a new blower housing in the salon. After replacing the blower for the A/C in the salon and seeing the amount of funky mold and mildew in the duct work, I would not be surprised to find that I have contracted Legion airs disease. The work should be buttoned up in the morning.
Kyle went home for the past few days to see family after the passing of his grand father. He returns this evening We will put the cabins back together tomorrow and fuel up the boat. We should make the crossing to the Bahamas on Thursday.
I went for a walk this afternoon and took a few pics of the orchids on the property here. They are placed everywhere you look. The wide range of colors and types is amazing. Orchids are one of my "true" loves. I find much pleasure in them and what they represent to me.
I do have to say thank you to the folks at Canyon Gear. I received a very nice and flattering reply to my blog from them today. I enjoy writing, But, Folks like them are why I write.
