Trip begins tomorrow to the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas

Cant wait to get back into straw hat mode again
As much as you prepare and plan your departure on a big trip, You can never prepare for the weather. Our plan was to begin our trip this coming Wednesday. The cold fronts that have stayed clear of us all winter have made for great weather. Wouldn't ya know, We are finally ready to leave and we are due for back to back whoppers. I'm not really worried about any part of the weather for the next week, Except for getting across the gulfstream between Miami and Bimini , Bahamas. Wednesday The Weather is suppose to be at its best then the north winds begin to blow. You do not want to make the steam crossing with north winds of 20 knots or more. The opposing gulfstream will jack the seas up significantly.
So instead of leaving on Wednesday we are planning to make for Marathon in the Keys tomorrow afternoon, then crawl our way to Miami on Tuesday. If the weather allows, We will go all the way to Bimini.
The holds/ bilges of the boat are stuffed with supplies and everything we can think we may need over the next few months of fishing in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. What is not on there now, we will have to just do with out. Our next good grocery stop will be in the Turks and Caicos in a few weeks.
Hope everyone enjoys the ride. As usual I will be chronicling our trip. Hopefully I will be able to post more videos as I get better at this.
