Sun rise over Samana

Had to share this morning with everyone.
I'm sitting on the back of the boat. The sun is just cresting the eastern sky. There is a cool light breeze rolling down out of the mountains. All over I can hear birds chirping and occasionally the roosters chime in as it gets lighter. There is a sweet smell in the air.
part jungle and part smoke from hearth fires and cane fields.
As it continues to get lighter, the green of the hills becomes more evident.
The boat is surging gently for and aft in its slip. We are 10 miles up the bay. I can only imagine the large swells in Mona pass to the east of us.
Coffee is empty hope you enjoyed this mornings view with me.
