Not much of a sunrise here today. The clouds are heavy off to the west and the sun is struggling to burn through off to the east. The winds are slack and the air is thick with the smells of breakfast lofting from a few of the restaurants. There are tarpon rolling in the empty slips of the marina as they slurp up the fry around the pilings. The docks seem to be a bit slow to get going this morning. From the sounds that I heard as I lay in my bunk last night, I doubt there will be many early risers. Saturday night revelers were hooting it up pretty good till late last night at the dock side bars and eatery's.
A few of the crews from the other boats have plans to ride out with me this morning to do some snorkeling and clean the boats bottom. We plan to turn it into a day away from the dock. While it is always nice to have a sunny day for this, The crews from boats seldom complain about a clouded day. We all get plenty sun.
Now it just remains to be seen who actually wakes up this morning and who is in any condition to join us today.
