Ready and waiting.

Its a beautiful morning sitting here on the dock. The winds are light and the coffee is real good. I found coffee creamer at the store. woo hoo. There is not much of a sunrise this morning. There are scattered showers out across the still flat waters of the Carribean. As I have been typing this, the boats are firing up their motors and heading offshore to see what the sea has to offer today.   The Betsy is pulling out of her slip right now and the Therapy is just ahead of her. For the last 4 days no boats have fished. From the early departure times, I think there are some crews that are chomping at the bit to get out there. The Due course is still sitting at the dock but the crew is waiting on guests to get to the boat.
The last few days have been full of oil changes on all the boats and re rigging of tackle. By yesterday, it seemed that all the boats had finished waxing and rigging and preparing. You could get the sense that the crews here are all getting antsy to do something other than sit dockside. The standard question between crews yesterday was " when are yall fishing again".
Last night was again one of those gorgeous  nights. I woke up at about 3 am wide awake. I decided to go for a walk. The stars flickering on the water in the still waters of the marina were amazing. There was no wind and the only sounds I could hear was that of Air conditioner pumps trickling water from the side of boats. Just to the south There was a thunder head putting on one hell of a light show. It was not ominous of foreboding. But instead it was a gentle steady series of flashes that lit up the sky to the south.   Its one of those things that I have tried to put into words before, but just never seem to be able to do.
I found it  interesting that I got no comments on my previous blog. I do understand why. No one wants to click " Like" on a blog about cockfighting. But the interesting thing I noticed was that I had nearly double the "veiws" or people reading that particular blog. As I said I dont like cock fighting. I even debated with myself as to if I should write about it or not. But , It is part of what I have seen on this trip. So it is an experience I felt I should share.
The boss flies in tomorrow afternoon. Kyle and I are surely ready to untie our own dock lines.
