Leaving

About 12 years ago I started writing these reports. They were originally between myself and a few friends. I really wrote them so that I could convey to my friends, where I was, what I was seeing and experiencing. My real goal or ulterior motive was trying to get friends to write back. When you are stuck on a boat for months and at times find yourself on small islands with absolutely nothing to do, Its real nice to hear from friends. Some of you are saying  aaaawwwwe. Poor thing is on a yacht in the Caribbean on a tropical island. But, Its not all fun and games. At night especially. Not much else to do except drink or read. I prefer the later. It really is nice to get emails and responses to the blog. Tell me if there is something you want to know more about that I have described...Suggest things you would like me to cover... tell me to stop waxing poetic.... Its just nice to get mail. I had one person tell me that she did not want to bother me with emails because she figured I got tons of mail.... Poor pitiful me. BOTHER ME! I will be traveling for the next few months Please bother me!
The Blue Heaven Is ready. We were planning on starting the trip next Monday, But Mother Nature has other plans. We need to be in the Keys mid week. But the impending cold front is bringing a few days of gusty winds. We are leaving Saturday ahead of the weather.
One other note Thank you all for supporting my blog. Ive received many compliments. I received a few negative comments.  but They were well taken. Funny thing is the people the negative comments came from still view the blog.LOL
For those of you that still only get this report from email or see it via face book, Please go to reportsfromtherip.blogspot.com There is a place on there that you can add your email address to as well as a place to comment if you feel like it.
I look forward to painting a picture of our adventures for you in my blog over the next few months...
