Before we travel

We have not fished much since the boat has been home. But we have stayed busy none the less. Between big projects like Buffing out the entire boat or removing the bow pulpit and bow rail or replacing A/C ducting, we have stayed quite busy. With most of those projects done, We are really going into Prep mode now. Its time to go through all the tackle and all the systems on the boat and make sure that there are no issues that need attention before we travel. In fact today I have Peterson Marine coming out today to flush out all the cooling lines to all the refridgeration and air conditioners. Those are things that CAN NOT go down while we travel. On January 6th we will bring the boat to Galati's boat yard in Anna Maria to have the bottom repainted and to have our cutlass bearings replaced.
One of the perks we have with our job is hunting at the bosses property in north Florida. We always say, When we are on the boat, we talk and dream of going to the hunting camp, But when we are at hunting camp, we talk and dream of going marlin fishing.  It is so nice to go up to Yon Creek Plantation and hang out in the woods. Its so far removed from the boat and all that we do on it.
Tyler has even got into it. At first he was apprehensive about going up to the woods. But he is now a full blown hunting addict. We hope to head up there one last time mid January to catch the bucks in Rut.
The rest of this month is looking pretty busy with the boat in the yard over the next two weeks, and just after that, we will be heading to Tampa to do the Gasparilla Pirate invasion. After that we will load the boat and head for the Dominican Republic.
Tyler and I are looking forward to this season. It looks to be an exciting one. We will be traveling to some of our old stomping grounds and exploring a few new ones as well.
