Sometimes its donning a reggae bob Marley wig or other times its jamming to Donna Summer disco tunes and everyone dancing in the cockpit or just having rubber band wars, We do have fun when we go fishing.

At the end of one day last week, we were trolling around a FAD ( A bouy set up off shore that attracts fish) and we decided to let Dan and Tyler jump in on the FAD and check it out. We had a large blow up Shamu pool float so we put a rope on it and tied it off to the FAD. But Dan of course had to ride it for a few pics. Five thousand feet of water and 24 miles off shore, its just not a normal thing to do out there. But we are far from normal. Some crews take the fishing thing way to seriously. If you can't have fun out there then you are doing it all wrong. ( OK yes, I have been known to shout a bit when we have a fish hooked up..... I think of it more as constructive criticism )

Fishing has got a bit better over the past few weeks. Last year the bite began a little early, This year I think it was just a few weeks late. Fish don't have calendars.

Congrats to the "Auspicious" on winning the Casa De Campo Marlin tournament last week. It was a great win for them. We had the bites during the tournament, but just could not capitalize. ( OK We Sucked) Rick Alvarez did a nice job with the tournament this year. I think a good time was had by all.

A couple of weeks back Casa De Campo held the fourth annual Gringos VS the Dock attendants Softball game. Each year we all look forward to this game. The Dominican Dock attendants all play on an official team. They are all outstanding players. The gringos always loose. This year was a bit different. We actually won!!!! Well Kinda. We did win by score, But we also were playing with 7 gringos in the outfield at times. There were all kinds of high jinks and goofing around during the game. At one point the speakers at the field was playing music and a popular song came on... So all the gringos on the field called time out and just started dancing. I got the umpire drunk as hell by calling time outs all throughout the game and bringing him rum and cokes. He was so much fun. Normally there are numerous injuries but this year Dan was the only good injury. He decides to sacrifice all the skin on his calf and slide into second base wearing shorts, That will be a scar he carries with him for years to come. Sorry no pics. Way to gross
