Ft Lauderdale Boat Show.

The Blue Heaven is sitting pretty. She is also sitting lite in the water. Nearly every piece of equipment and gear has been removed from the boat. All the tackle, Silverware, food, supplies and fishing gear is now in plastic tubs in the warehouse. Tomorrow morning we leave for the Ft Lauderdale boat show. We will take our time and use two days to get there. The Blue heaven is scheduled to move into it slip on Saturday. The Ft Lauderdale boat show is enormous. All the boats are stacked into place to create a sea of boats connected by floating docks. Nearly all the water is covered with boats. This is why we have to " stack in" on Saturday. It will be a few days after that before all the boats are filled in. Then the actual boat show starts the following Thursday.

The are anywhere between 1500 and 1700 boats at the show each year. It is a great place to showcase a vessel that is for sale. The is 3 Billion dollars worth of boats equipment and gear. They expect 100,000 people to visit the show.
For me, it has been a busy few weeks getting the boat ready to show for the event. It will be kinda weird leaving St Pete tomorrow heading south with no bait and no rods on the boat. But I am sure there will be other adventures to write about along the way.
Looking forward to selling this boat and getting another boat.
